As I poured the first layer of acrylic onto the canvas, I placed the painting on a cookie sheet to dry and to allow the extra paint to drip from the canvas (painting on the left). I could not let all that beautiful paint go to waste, so I grabbed some art paper (made for acrylics) and transferred some of that extra paint onto a new page (painting on the right). I scooped up more paint to add some thicker blobs onto the new painting, and am allowing it to dry. They may look a little…for the lack of a better word, ugly right now, but I’ll play around with it some more. And bonus marks for time management, I started two new works instead of just one! Stay tuned…even I can’t wait to see what the “after” shots will look like!
